Making thread 

In the summer of 2024 I tried making thread out of sheep wool. 

The reason I did this is partly because I wanted to learn a life skill, and partly because our plastic way of living is not sustainable, and I am on the search for viable alternatives. 

In the island of Crete, Rethymno alone hosts 846 389 sheep according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority. Unfortunately, all this sheep wool is thrown away every year as there is noone with an interest to utilize it. I will be spending my summers learning about, thinking of and testing out ways to revive natural fibers cloth-making.
